NORDLET is present at the Digital Innovation Workshop in the Nokia Innovation Center in Tampere as another local event.
There is a variety of topics at the workshop, mainly focusing on social media, mobile environments and very new applications. We are happy to present NORDLET and Open Education concepts there as we see this as a main driver for innovation. Slides are avalable at http://tinyurl.com/oer-digiinno

Nordlet was also presented in ITK Päivät Conference in 23.-24.4.2009, in Hämeenlinna, Finland.

Nordlet raised first event awareness in Joensuu, Finland. The Target event was Scifest, which was attened by 5000 students and around 200 teachers of Eastern Finland.

Nordlet is co-organiser of a number of workshops on the next generation of metadata describing learning resources, i.e., the ISO/IEC JTC1 SC36 MLR - Metadata for Learning Resources - Part 5 Educational elements.

Nordlet will arrange Nordlet Open Forum in Umeå on the 18th of September in connection to the SC36 plenary meting. More information to come!

At 2009-09-18 there will be a NORDLET conference in collaboration with ISO/IEC JTC1/SC36 and ICOPER. The theme for the conference will be Competency.

Kick off meeting in Stockholm

The kick off will be in Stockholm Wednesday 14th of January (17:00 - 20:00) and Thursdag 15th of January (09:00 - 16:00).

Everyone should prepare a presentation on open content activities within each country.

NORDLET is the Nordic Baltic Community for Open Education representing practitioners and reearchers in the field of Open Content for Learning, Education and Training in the eight countries.

What is NORDLET all about? It is an initiative to promote collaborative learning and teaching using Open Educational Resources - it is about sharing, re-use and partnerships across the Nordic and Baltic countries.

The first event will be i mid January 2009 - we will soon come back with details.
